Over the past few months, we’ve gathered valuable client feedback, pinpointing what works best and what needed improvement.

Our top priority with this update is enhancing the user experience.

With that in mind, we’ve fine-tuned various aspects of the app, eliminating minor frustrations and refining key features.

This one’s a game-changer.

Over the past few months, we’ve gathered valuable feedback from our clients, pinpointing what works best and what needed improvement.

Our top priority with this update is enhancing the user experience.

With that in mind, we’ve fine-tuned various aspects of the app, eliminating minor frustrations and refining key features.

So, now, without further ado, we’re thrilled to introduce Version 1.9.3!

Auto Open Messages

V 1.9.3 Allows you to open a message straight from the notification.
We hope this is a massive improvement in our communication.
Trying to find the right message to open has proven tricky at times.
Particularly if you have a number of unread messages.
Hopefully, with this far more improved version, we can bring a more familiar look and feel to how messages are delivered.
We aim to improve the delivery of some of our generic messages to free up more time to connect with you over the phone about the more complicated stuff.

Dynamic Message Sorting

V 1.9.3 Completely overhauls the messages screen.
This change is a long time coming!
Gone is the static list of message categories.
In, is a dynamic list of messages.
Sorted by newest to oldest.
Including a timestamp and excerpt.
V 1.9.3’s main focus is user experience.
Providing a familiar message-based experience was key to that.
With the newest message now always at the top of the list
We believe this is one of the most signifanct improvements since the launch of in-app refer and earn feature.

Tap to Progress

Remember tapping the progress screen only to find it doesn’t do anything, well say goodbye to that.
V 1.9.3 brings our Progress tab to life!
We often received feedback that the progress screen “doesn’t do anything”, which is partly how it was designed.
The idea of the progress screen was to provide you with a visual indication of the status of your tax return and not something for you to actively engage with.
We have divided the completion of your tax return into six phases, each with several steps.
As we move through the various steps towards completion, you will see the percentage completion update and the current step displayed.
Well, that’s been updated! The progress screen is now interactive. Your current step is now animated, and tapping anywhere on the progress screen will take you to the message containing more information on the current step.

More, More More!

V 1.9.3 brings more of our content into the app.
Within the more tab, you will now find links to:
Our Youtube Channel.
Our Dedicated QuickBooks Support Hub.
Our Business Banking Hub.
Our What We Need page.
More access, more accessibility, less jumping around to find one answer.

The End Game!

V 1.9.3 Adds more reassurance.
Ask any accountant what they are doing in January, and it’s last-minute self-assessments.
The majority of our client base files early, although we do have some clients that prefer to wait.
However, the 31st January Deadline always brings questions and confusion around who needs to do what, especially with HMRC’s various marketing campaigns, which are often each more deliberately confusing than the last.
So we are introducing clarity! At least that’s the plan.
Once you have completed your year’s tax return, the progress screen will be overlaid with an ” It’s complete” message.
Put simply, if your progress screen says complete, then no January deadline applies to you.
